Getting Established

Relocation Scotland can help newcomers and their families find their feet in Aberdeen and/or Aberdeenshire, introducing them to the area, its amenities, history, background, geography, language and social aspects as well as providing relevant contact information.

The City of Aberdeen and its surrounding countryside offers a wealth of opportunity for exploration, but it takes time to get your bearings and discover what the region has to offer. Relocation Scotland is here to help facilitate and enhance relocatees' experiences so that their stay is a happy and rewarding one.

Clients can view a sample of local scenery and activities by logging in to the site, and our Relocation Guide to Getting Established contains information about essential utilities and services that can sometimes be overlooked when preparing to relocate. A hard-copy version of the guide is presented to all clients on arrival, and individual sections can be downloaded from this site as required.

Union Street runs through the heart of the city and is the setting for small shops, department stores, bars and municipal buildings. This image, looking west over the city, includes the clock tower and spire of the town hall, extending above the city skyline.
